Success Stories: Overview

The “success stories” listed below were submitted by RG-05 participants as part of a pre-conference survey that asked for a brief description of a successful initiative.  (See Pre-conference Survey to review the full survey.)  These stories are told in participants’ own words, and they include “challenges” as well as achievements.  We wanted to gather stories that include both “what's working” as well as “what's not.”  We can learn much from both.

The stories have been placed in categories that roughly correspond to the list of “STRATEGIES/TACTICS” in the pre-conference survey (see page 4 of Survey Report PowerPoint).  Only stories approved by participants are listed below.  Under each category, stories are listed in alphabetical order of submitters’ last names.

In many cases these stories could have been categorized under several headings, and in fact some are simply listed under the category “Multi-Dimensional Strategies.”  The idea here is not to definitively label this work, but rather to make it easier for readers to find cases related to strategies they would like to learn more about.  (If you would like your story re-categorized, please let us know at wsnyder@socialcapital.com.)
